If you are new to the Houston area or a experienced social networker, I've got the word on the best networking events in Houston.
I've checked-out some off-line activities where you can participate in locally held relationship marketing events that you'll want to add to your short list of things to do.

Meeting people off-line can help you make the most of the LinkedIn contacts you've developed and could be just the hook-up you need to jump-start a flat-lining career. Their online community is touted as the one platform everyone serious about networking should join and learn how to use.

One of the most popular networking events in Houston is sponsored by the crew over at inHouston. Many of them actively participate in LinkedIn. The inHouston's monthly professional business networking get togethers are held throughout the city. They're a great group to connect with online or off-line for anyone interested in being successful in relationship marketing.

Several other events where like-minded business people gather to share their experiences are hosted by the Houston Technology Center, 410 Pierce street, in Midtown Houston. I recommend the start-up Houston happy hour and sunrise Toastmaster meetings.

My hands down favorite is the UH Small Business Development Center, where you can pick-up the 411 on internet marketing from our local guru Dick Meyers. His post "One Social Network I Couldn't Work Without" pointed out LinkedIn is the one social network everyone should use.

Combining these awesome local networking events with your online social networking should get your name on the invite list of the best networking events in Houston, where you'll meet some of the finest folks on the planet.

Find Healthcare Employment in Houston At Chronicle’s Job Fair

There are so many exhibitors for the spring “Houston Chronicle Job Fair,” that it’s being held in Reliant Stadium, Wednesday, April 9 2008 - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This is a great networking opportunity for residents of Midtown Houston or anyone else thinking about changing jobs or looking for a new career.

If you’re looking for something entertaining to do this week in Houston, try the coolest show in town, High School Musical: On Ice.
This live fusion of songs, dancing, and non-stop, team-spirited fun inspired by the smash hit Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical" and the highly anticipated "High School Musical 2," will hit Reliant Stadium beginning Wednesday: April 9-13, 2008.

Community Artist Collective: Of Women



The art experience in Houston gets a birds eye view into the creative minds of female artist when the Community Artist Collective exhibit: “Of Women” opens at Midtown Art Center.
The exhibition coordinators are: Dr. Sarah Trotty and Michael Kahlil Taylor. Some of the artists works included in the this exhibition will be from Regina Agu, Michelle Barnes, Lanre Buraimoh, Valerie Burkes, Kittyn D, Lorena Fernandez, and other artist.

Southwest Alternative Media Project: Texas Filmmakers Grants

I hope you didn’t miss Bryan Poyser, from the Austin Film Society’s free workshop for local filmmakers, on applying for grants to the Texas Filmmakers´ Production Fund.

The Texas Filmmakers Production Fund expects to award over $100,000 this year and has provided Texas filmmakers with cash, goods and services - over $800,000 for 234 film and video projects over the past eleven years. Even if you didn’t make it to the workshop kyou can still get an application by visiting www.austinfilm.org. Application deadline: June 2, 2008.

You can go online and get their schedule and sign up before it's too late.

If you're having trouble reaching customers on the internet,free Internet Marketing Clinics are offered twice a month in the University of Houston Small Business Development Center at 2302 Fannin in Midtown Houston. The clinics provides valuable information for anyone who wants to do business and other activities over the internet.

Has everyone been to see the Great Debaters? It's the ideal movie for you to take a group, from school or church to see. It will inspire them for years to come when handling their own challenges in life, just as the college students in this moving story, overcame their many obstacles.
