Armand Bayou Nature Center - Saturday morning drift down the bayou on the "Bayou Ranger". This trip floats through the heart of the Nature Center . It presents an uncommon opportunity to observe wildlife searching for their breakfast on the bayou and learn about bayou life. Enjoy pastries, juice and coffee served while underway. The boat leaves from the Bay Area Park boat launch (NOT the nature center). Reservations required call 281-474-2551.

Jones Park
Open House At Pioneer Homestead in the park, where visitors can learn about Texas history and get a feeling of what life in the republic was like during the early 1800’s. You will visit Jones Park’s two unique historical pioneer exhibits Redbud Homestead and Aloskian Indian Village.

This is the last weekend to see the much talked about musical biography of Hattie Mc Daniel told from her perspective. In spite of her adversities, she carried on as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority and served as Chairman of the Negro Division of the Hollywood Victory Committee that provided entertainment to troops during World War II.
