Our Houston Library is a treasure chest full of smart things to do in Houston. This week the Houston Public Library will bring you up to speed on starting a business, brushing up on your Spanish or chill out with a group of other suspense novel lovers.

Houston Library Offers Starting A Business Seminar

The City of Houston's One Stop Business Center, visits the library to give you the 411 on "How To Start A Business in Houston". Learn first hand from people with lots of business experience, the Corps Of Retired Executives, practical advice and all of the steps you need to take to own a business in Houston.

Downtown Library- Mystery Book Club

There is an adult mystery book club that meets at the library every third Tuesday of the month If you are a fan of "who done its" you'll love hanging out with this group of mystery novel readers.

You'll do more than just read this months title "Bad Night Is Falling" by Gary Phillips. You'll engage in thought provoking discussions and create new friendships with other avid suspense novel aficionados, oh yeah, feel free to bring your own munchies.

Learn Spanish In Houston

Brush up or learn a little conversational Spanish. The Houston Library has free Spanish class in Houston to help you. If you're like me and enjoy speaking to people in their native language, this tertulia, will open the door to new conversations with all your Spanish speaking neighbors and friends.
