Ice Day-Downtown Houston
If you have missed out on the thrill of watching ice carving set to music? This weekend is your chance to experience Ice Day in Houston. You'll be glad you're a part of the crowd enjoying the excitement of watching chips and shards of flying ice being removed, to release beautiful sculptures from their icy homes.
Houston has become a major battleground for an action-packed Ice Carving competition. It featured Reverend Butter and several other kick-butt ice artists from around the country wielding chainsaws and blow torches, to transform blocks of ice into incredible works of frozen art.
Not all of the events in Houston this week will be as fabulous as what takes place in the city in January 2010.
The competition is on in downtown Houston to battle for this years grand prizes. These are just a few of the many events that you can find details about on Houston's Midtownlive.
