The Community Artists Collective
There is still time to visit the “Broadening Exposure: Artist to Watch” exhibit.
The exhibit, open thru March 14,2008 at Christ Church and at The Collective, is curated by Sarah Trotty, Michael Kahlil Taylor and Jade Cooper.
These companion exhibits provide an in-depth glimpse at the visual range of the artists and a closer look at the driving forces motivating their creative energies.

Coal is the story of an ancient rock that transformed America, but did you realize, two thirds of the energy in electricity generation is lost in the power plant and transmission lines?
The public is invited to join with environmental organizations for a screening of “Burning our Future.” The movie frames the battle between residents of the coalfields of West Virginia and the coal mining industry.
