Midtown Weekend

LIVE @

Where you there this weekend for the fantastic free museum event in Midtown Houston Museum District? You missed out on a once a year opportunity, to visit any or all of the museums of your choice and see some of the exhibits that Houstonians have access to because of the great staffs that have been assembled by the world class museums in the district.
The Museum of Natural Science seemed to be one of the favorites of most of the people that I talked with during Saturdays event. The Children's Museum was another favorite of kids of all ages.
The on again, off again rain didn't seem to bother the crowd as people traversed the area from one museum to another.
The Miller Outdoor Theatre hosted the Unity Day celebration this is a new comer to Houston and hopefully next year it will become bigger and better each year.
Despite religion, ethic background, or social status, Houstonians will gather to promote unity in humanity. We are not creating a day, but a tradition that will eliminate prejudice and crush social barriers.
